Term 3, 2022 Newsletter

What a year it has been! Even though we are still living in this COVID-19 space, eventually every country will have to learn to live with COVID. Whether the source of disruption in our life is a global emergency or a personal tragedy – or both of them – living through difficult times can take a heavy toll on our mood, health, and outlook. Thank you to all families for your strength and resilience. Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving, we get stronger and more resilient.

One of the marvellous things about community is that it enables us to welcome, celebrate and help people in a way we couldn’t as individuals. So come along and join everyone at a twilight PICNIC on the 16 th of October from 4-6pm at Ruffey Lake Park, Boulevarde playground. It is BYO food and drinks. We will be so looking forward to seeing you and to welcome new 2023 families as well.

As you may know, two of our committee members have left us – Muneera (Policy Officer) and Shafaq (Fees Officer). Thank you for your dedication and we wish them all the very best.

Liz, our Office Assistant will be filling in the two roles in the meantime - Thank you, Liz. If you are interested in either role – please give us a call. Doncaster Kinder needs your support.

Our AGM and Parent information night will be held on Thursday 20 thOctober – more details to come!

Thank you to those who volunteered at the Bunnings BBQ held in August, we raised approximately $1068.60 which has gone towards new resources and equipment for our children.

I hope everyone has a relaxing and safe school holiday. See you all soon.

Best, Emily Tabualevu (President)
