session times
To see if Doncaster Kindergarten is right for you, check out our latest session times, class size and child/teacher ratio below
The kindergarten operates from one room. Our session times and days have been carefully planned to accomodate both 3 year old and 4 year old programs. Our session times are based on shorter days (sessional kindergarten) rather than longer day programs that are reflective of day care. Our start and finish times have been determined based on parent surveys and staff experience. Check out our frequently asked questions below for more info such as class size and child/teacher ratio.
Can I choose hours from both 4 year old groups to suit my schedule?
No, your child can only attend one of the 4 year old class groups.
What is the staff to child ratio in your classes?
The 1:11 staff to child ratio commenced on 1st January 2016. This means for every 11 children there needs to be 1 teacher supervising them. 27 is the maximum number of children we can have in a class at our kindergarten based on the size of our premises. A class of 27 children would have a ratio of 1:9 and would have three educators.
How many children are there in the 3 year old class?
There are currently 22 children in the 3 year old class.
How many children are there in the 4 year old class?
Anywhere from 22 up to a maximum of 27 children. For classes with more than 22 children, there will be three teachers in the class.
