ABOUT THE COMMITTEE
Our committee has been run by local parents since 1968. We hope to continue this legacy for many years to come.
Doncaster Kindergarten is a community kindergarten run by a Committee made up of parents
and carers of children who attend the kindergarten.
Each year since 1968, a group of parents have stepped forward to serve on the Committee and
the kindergarten has prospered. Committee members come from all walks of life and there are
many roles which allow parents to use their particular skills.
Many hands make light work!
No matter what skill set you possess, Doncaster Kindergarten welcomes and values your contribution. Whether it's assisting with decision making or helping out with uniform orders, many hands make light work!
"Being a part of the Committee has been a truly rewarding experience, not only am I able to make a direct contribution to my child's kindergarten experience, but as a busy mum it has given me the opportunity to develop new skills and a great outlet to meet some wonderful like-minded people." Kath, Committee Member
Current Members & Vacancies
Current Committee Members
Our current Committee members comprise of parents from current and past enrolments.
Committee Role Vacancies
As you may know, Doncaster Kindergarten is a community kindergarten run by a Committee made up of parents and carers of children who attend the kindergarten. The staff are paid to teach our children, not to manage the kindergarten. Without the ongoing dedication of the kindergarten community, and of the Committee as a whole over the years, our kinder wouldn't be the excellent learning centre it is today.
We currently have some vacancies on our volunteer committee and would like to fill these positions as soon as possible.
The roles we are seeking new Committee members for are as follows:
All Committee members are asked to attend our monthly Committee meetings which are usually held online on Zoom at 7.15pm on the third Wednesday of each month, but can change subject to the agreement of the Committee. Our meetings usually last for no more than two hours.
Support & an opportunity to gain work experience
You will be supported in your role by the existing Committee members and the Office Assistant.
If you have any questions about any of these roles, please speak to Liz Spiridis, our Office Assistant at firstname.lastname@example.org.
