We have come to the end of a term which, for the better part, has been ‘delightfully ordinary’.
Ordinary in the sense that we were able to run a regular, face-to-face kinder program, except for three days during the snap lockdown. Delightful, as is it has certainly been wonderful to welcome many new families to our community and to see the children have fun and grow in confidence over these few months.
We are indeed privileged here in Melbourne that the COVID pandemic is under control and that learning, working and playing have fully resumed. As we engage in all of these aspects of our lives, I hope that what we return to is not just exactly as it was before, but indeed to something better. I hope that we will all be proactively engaged in building a healthy environment and healthy, caring communities.
Doncaster Kindergarten is very fortunate to have some experienced and committed staff who run our programs. During Term 1 we had the opportunity to recognise Letitia for 15 years of service at Doncaster Kindergarten. We appreciate her knowledge, positive attitude and continued dedication!
In the Parent Survey we conducted at the end of last year, parents expressed an exceptionally high level of satisfaction with the teachers and educators, and we trust it will be the case again this year. Overall, the survey results were very positive and confirm that our programs meet the individual needs of children, supports their growth and prepares them for school.
