What an incredible and unpredictable start we've had to 2020! The last few months have been extraordinary in our country and indeed the world. First, the devastating bushfires that scarred our landscape and traumatised our communities. Now, COVID-19 – a pandemic that is affecting the lives and movement of billions of people around the world in unprecedented ways. Front and centre in both issues is our concern, as parents, guardians, carers and teachers, for the health and well-being of our children, now and into the future.

This is my first newsletter as President of Doncaster Kindergarten and the first term was certainly a baptism of fire. I am grateful for the support of the entire committee and particularly for the smooth handover facilitated by the former president, Andrea Bogtstra, who fortunately still serves on the Committee, and for the continuity provided by Fahmid Ahmed (our Treasurer) and Emana Hammad (our Secretary), my fellow executive committee members, who are both serving a second year.
Front and centre in both issues is our concern, as parents, guardians, carers and teachers, for the health and well-being of our children, now and into the future.
